50-star, hand-crocheted American flag, ca. 1976. Matted and framed, currently on exhibit in the lobby of the BCC's office. The label reads: 50th State Commemorative. This 50 star American flag commemorates the addition of Hawaii to the Union of the United States. The flag is hand crocheted, a unique work of art. It has been donated by the Arvada group of Warm Hearts Warm Babies, a non-profit organization that makes baby layettes for the needy in Colorado. Even though the artist is unknown, it is a wonderful example of love for our Country and it now can be shared by the public.

Donated to the County by the Arvada group of Warm Hearts Warm Babies. The 50-star crocheted flag was found in a box of yarn donated to them. It was framed and is currently on exhibit in the BCC office.
